As Seneca once said, “We should not, like sheep, follow the herd of creatures in front of us, making our way where others go, not where we ought to go."

These are words that guide Xenia as an independent thinker, and it is what led her off the beaten path toward a legal education. No, really. It was a conscious decision to pursue a legal career and she revels in the dynamic, uncertain nature of the practice that keeps her mind sharp.

Her involvement in funds and financial services regulatory work is motivated by a desire to be part of an evolving fund ecosystem in Singapore. It is the latest “skill” she is honing, having already gained exposure to other areas of practice (including general corporate law, data protection, tax and wealth management, family law and general litigation). She also cultivates a keen interest in other fields (particularly, ethics, psychology, philosophy and artificial intelligence).
